Are We in a Famine of the Word?

What do you think? Is a famine of the Word of God real today? Is biblical illiteracy a real problem among the general population, educators, leaders and, even, in the churches?

Is the prophet Amos' concern for his day your concern for our day?

“Behold, days are coming,” declares my Lord Yahweh, “when I will
send a famine on the land, not a famine for bread or a thirst for
water, but rather for hearing the words of Yahweh. People will
stagger from sea to sea and from the north even to the east. They
will go to and fro to seek the word of Yahweh, but they will not
find it. (Amos 8:11-12)

Your turn now. The poll is located on the lower left column.
